I think there were a lot of useful tips. You may want to also mention the ability of a Weather Radio recharging cell phones. We bought one after moving to Florida and experiencing several hurricanes. Many radios will also charge a person's cell phone. Whether or not there will be service is another question! But we keep stocked up on batteries for it in case we need to use it. Not everyone owns a generator.
