I can see we are going to have to work on your aversion to prtoey, AS. I don't read a lot of prtoey, but there are a handful of poems without which my life would be diminished. One of these is a poem I always pull out to reread at this time of year (being footy finals time): Bruce Dawes' Life Cycle . You probably have heard or read it. It is very Melbourne/Victorian.I can't believe I can't find this on the net. Probably something to do with that old-fashioned idea called copyright. But seriously, for someone who obviously loves words, you are probably missing out on a lot of pleasure by not persevering a bit to find (a) poet(s) to your taste.
