Your TV is (or Soon Will Be) Too Small

Scattered around the show floor here at the IFA electronics show in Berlin is the future of TV – 84-to-145-inch super high-definition sets that make that 42-incher in your living room seem like a peep hole. Of course, the tiny pictures that follow can't do these big and beautiful behemoths justice.

LG 84-inch Ultra-Definition 4K 3D HDTV

Like all the 84-inch 4K sets herein described, this LG LED HDTV (different from the OLED just discussed) presents 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution – that's nearly 9 megapixels and four times the resolution of today's 1920 x 1080 HDTVs. To help navigate its various smart apps, you get a Magic Remote that manipulates a floating cursor. If you're in Korea, you'll be able to buy this UD set next month for the wan equivalent of 16,500 euro. It'll come to the west in the next few months, or so I was told.
