Your Refrigerator is Texting You

LG's Food Management App for the Refrigerator

The LG Thinq Smart refrigerator line will include an app for smart phones and PCs that allows you to keep track of the internal temperature of your refrigerator and which foods are in it and where.  Through drag-and-drop icons on the refrigerator's own LCD display and voice recognition, the refrigerator's software lets you enter information about food as you put it in the fridge, including expiration dates.  In theory, the display will help you find things once they're in the fridge, and let you know when they need to be tossed.  And the phone app will help you remember what's going bad while you're in the grocery store.
