Year's Coolest Gadget? 3M Roku Pocket Projector

Meet the 21st century version of a portable TV, and possibly the coolest product of the year. 3M's Streaming Projector is a one-pound, sandwich-sized DLP projector with built-in Wi-Fi to connect to Roku's more than 600 Internet channels such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Hulu. 3M Steaming Projector Roku Stick

The Roku service is supplied via the new Roku stick, which I told you about earlier this week. It jacks into the projector via HDMI, or can be removed and inserted into a compatible HDTV. You also can remove the stick and plug in some other HDMI device such as Blu-ray player or a videogame console. While the Roku service is free, most of its channels require separate subscriptions.
