Microsoft will debut the Windows 8 operating system for desktop and mobile devices October 26, and at last month's IFA show in Berlin served as a coming out party for the first W8 devices. Here's a brief roundup of what W8 devices I saw at IFA, including new hybrid laptops/tablets I'm calling "laptabs."
At 8.8 inches thin and 600 grams, this 10.1-inch Windows 8 tablet is thinner and lighter than iPad. Plus, it has an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera, both higher resolution than iPad. iPad does get a couple hours more battery life and this tablets 8 hours, though.
