My Cell Phone: Apple iPhone 4 (AT&T)

Yes, like millions of other tech reporters, I own an iPhone 4. But it's what's around the phone that's interesting – the Energizer AP1201 Power Sleeve ($70), a silicon case that conceals a second battery. Unlike other snap-on iPhone chargers, the iPhone draws power from the AP1201 first. Only after the AP1201 is drained does your iPhone battery kick in. This is good because the less frequently your iPhone battery is charged, the longer it will last. Made from silicon, the AP1201 also provides drop protection and is easier to grip than the slippery, naked iPhone. Buying Advice: Anyone who owns an iPhone should buy and carry an emergency power supply.
