Before You Upgrade to iOS6 or Buy Your iPhone 5

Whether you are buying an iPhone 5 or upgrading to iOS6, (or both if you have an iPod or iPad as well), you want to take steps today to get ready. Upgrading to a new operating system (iOS) can wreak havoc on existing apps and there is a possibility of losing data. Likewise, if you are moving from your current iPhone to a new iPhone 5, you want your data and apps to be transferred to the new phone. Here's what you should do today.

Find Uninterrupted Time to upgrade

Set Aside Time to Upgrade

If you are at work, expecting a phone call, or otherwise using your iPhone, postpone upgrading until you have at least 1/2 an hour that you can put your phone out of commission so the upgrade isn't interrupted.
