Samsung Induction Range w/Flex Cookzone NE597NQ

Induction cooking, which uses magnets to cook stuff really fast – boil a quart of water in just two minutes – without any heat hasn't really taken off in the U.S. Samsung is trying to correct that with this oven/range ($1,999) that let's you combine two induction elements (or "zones") to create one big one for griddles. A version sans this Flex Cookzone feature ($1,699) is also available. Both feature boil-over protection – the range can "feel" water boiling over and automatically turns down the heat to just keep whatever you're cooking simmering.
