If you got whacked by Irene, hopefully you had laid in some of the "12 Gadgets Every Home Should Have" I suggested earlier this year. Now that it's goodnight, Irene, may I suggest some new gadgets that may come in handy in Irene's aftermath or the next time you're visited by Mother Nature's wrath.

Or, if the Irene damage isn't exactly cinematic, snap stills instead with this Panasonic digital camera. Like the Samsung SH100, you can wireless transmit your snaps via Wi-Fi directly from the camera (assuming you're in a Wi-Fi hot spot). Unlike the Samsung SH100, you can use Panasonic's special Lumix Link and a matching iPhone or Android app to send photos from the camera to your iPhone or Android smart phone and then transmit the photo via the cellular network. You'll need the Panasonic Lumix Link app on your smart phone, which creates a wirelessly transfers photos from the FX90 to your smart phone. FX90 isn't available yet, so at this moment, it's not priced yet, either.
