What's 8K4K? That means this 85-inch HDTV (1.9 x 1.05 meters) has a resolution of around 8,000 x 4,000 pixels (7680 x 4320 pixels to be exact) – that's 16 times the resolution of today's 1080p sets and approaching if not passing the theoretical resolution of 35mm film (which, of course, has no pixels). Problem is, you won't be able to buy it for around a decade. The actual next HDTV evolutionary step is 4K2K, probably around five years off. But this was easily the best TV I – and everyone in the Sharp booth – has ever seen.
