Top Gadgets: ETON FRX2 Portable Radio/Turbine Charger

Talk about your ultimate desert island gadget. This Eton FRX2 ($40) boasts an AM/FM/NOAA weather radio (if your desert island happens to be in range of a radio station) and both a solar panel and hand-turbine for re-charging its internal battery. The FRX2's internal battery can charge low power devices via USB, such as a digital camera, MP3 player or smart phone (if your desert island happens to be in range of a cell station). Just don't forget your other gadgets' USB charging cable. On this Swiss army portable you also get an LED flashlight, a glow-in-the-dark indicator and a headphone jack, so don't forget to get stranded with headphones.
