Bluetooth enables more than just wireless chatting via Lt. Uhuru-like earpieces. Here at the CTIA mobile show in New Orleans I found a plethora of Bluetooth gadgets and accessories for music listening, picture taking, photo printing – and, yes, hands-free conversation.
Top Bluetooth Gadgets: Jabra Supreme UC Bluetooth Earpiece
When you're sitting at your desk, you might use your mobile phone or you might use Skype, but you want to use just one earpiece. Jabra's solution is the Supreme UC ($150, June), which can be paired with two devices simultaneously, including your PC after you plug in that tiny USB Bluetooth dongle you see in the photo (a version sans dongle is available for $100). The earpiece itself has a drop-down boom mic (flipping the mic up turns the earpiece off) with dual mics for noise cancelation, an industry-largest 24mm speaker for plenty of volume and voice control for common functions such as redial and letting you know how much battery life remains.
