Every day I'm trapped in my office chair like the pilot in Alien pounding out these pearls of tech wisdom, so I don't get much of a chance to exercise (unless you count walking – briskly – to the kitchen and back). That's why I'm buying one of these – a stationary bike with a platform for a laptop computer so you can surf and cycle simultaneously ($230). FitDesk folds up like an ironing board when you're not riding it for convenient stowage. I can't wait to get it, and I'm sure there's a pudgy deskbound loved one on your list who'd appreciate one as well (if they're not overly sensitive, that is).
