No more calls, we have a winner. After years of searching, I've found the best sub-$100 in-ear earphones. I've also found waterproof smart phone cases that can accommodate nearly any make/model, a new automatic espresso machine, a Kermit clock radio, and colorful cases for the Amazon Kindle Fire.
Speaking of cases, these colorful smart phone cabinets ($40) are waterproof up to 20 feet, and come in two series: the Tide (pictured), which can accommodate most of the larger Android and Windows Phone models such as the HTC Droids, Inspire, EVOs and Thunderbolt, the varying Samsung Galaxy S models and Motorola's Droid 2 and Atrix; and, the Wave, which can encase most smaller Android smart phones as well as the iPhone 4/4S and the Blackberry Storm and Torch. Both Tide and Wave cases include a neck strap and a floating yellow lanyard to keep your phone buoyant and visible on the water's surface in case you drop it, or whatever the underwater equivalent of "drop" is.
