Apple has never ever exhibited at CES, but the company's presence nonetheless is felt all over the show floor, especially in the 300-plus iLounge booths, which represents around a tenth of all the CES exhibits. Amid the cases and bags, here are a half dozen iPhone/iPad/iPod gadget CES highlights.
Remember PowerBag, the bags with batteries built in to power and/or recharge iPhones, iPods, or any mobile gadget with a USB, micro USB or mini USB? Great idea – except you have to buy the bag to get the incredibly useful battery/recharger. Problem solved with the myCharge series of standalone battery rechargers you can chuck into any bag. Voyager ($100) is a 6000 milliamp (mAh) battery that can recharge iPhone four times, and is equipped with all four jacks as the battery in the PowerBag. You'll also be able to the Explorer (3000 mAh), which also has all four jacks, the Quest (2000 mAh), which is equipped with just the Apple 30-pin dock and a micro USB, and the Scout (1000 mAh), which has only the Apple 30-pin connector. All four have a flip-down AC jack on the rear (you had to spend more time recharging via micro USB connection in the previous myCharger iteration); when plugged in, the Voyager itself can recharged in less than two hours.
