Identity Games is hoping to bring back family game board play with its iPad-assisted GameChanger game board. On either side of the iPad dock are twin grids, each with 24 pressure points. You overlay "skins" on these pressure point grids and download the corresponding game from iTunes. You then press real game pieces on the skins, and you get a corresponding action on the iPad. Each game box ($80) contains two sets of skins (two games), four game pieces, and four "friends" games – games you play on the iPad using the bare pressure point grids as a game controller. There'll be eight games available by April.
