Like Motorola, Nokia has beaten Apple and iPhone 5 to the punch with two new smartphones running Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 (WP8) operating system, the Lumia 920 and the smaller Lumia 820. Both feature colorful styling, and WP8 packs fascinating new features lacking in both iOS and Android. Here's a closer look.
On the left (red) is the Nokia Lumia 820 with a 4.3-inch display, and on the right (yellow) the Lumia 920 with a 4.5-inch touchscreen, both 800 x 480 pixels. Both Lumias will connect via 4G/LTE when they get here sometime later this year (carriers not yet announced), feature 8 MP cameras/1080p video recorders, dual core 1.5 GHz processors and 1 GB of RAM. That's the dull tech spec stuff.
