If you're finally considering switching from your feature phone to a smartphone, I whole-heartedly recommend a new Windows Phone 8 model over Android (Mac users should stay with iPhone) such as one of the Nokia Lumia or HTC 8 models. But what is Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 all about? Here's a quick tour.
Windows Phone 8 (WP8 from now on) looks and feels completely different from Apple's iOS on the iPhone and iPad and Google's Android, which are ridiculously similar. Like Microsoft's desktop Windows 8 operating system, apps are presented as tiles, many of them "live" – images for many tiles continually shift and number of messages waiting are indicated, which makes your Start screen seem alive.
