Lytro Light Field Focus-Free Digital Camera

You won't believe what this camera – thing – does. And, yes, this rectancular tube is a digital camera. It takes digital pictures that you can fix the focus in AFTER you take the picture. In other words, you take a picture of someone standing in the foreground of some scenic beauty. When you transfer the photo to your PC, you use the Lytro software to change the focus to the person or to any part of the background. It's a totally new way to take pictures – here's some videos that go into more depth. The Electric Blue and Graphite 8 GB versions, which store 350 focus-free photos, are $399, the Red 16 GB (750 photos) is $499.
