Now that all the smartphone and tablet heavyweights are almost finished pummeling each other (we still await the rumored Apple iPad Mini), let's see what some other gadget makers have been up to. Canon, for instance, recently unleashed a slew of new D-SLR and point-and shoot cameras.
With all the compact mirrorless cameras dominating the sales charts, Canon touts this traditional D-SLR, a step-up from the company's respect 5D line, as its smallest and lightest ever – 24 ounces body only, 26.7 ounces with a lens. The 6D is equipped with a 20.2 MP CMOS sensor and (caution: geek speak ahead!) an 11-point AF array and 63-zone dual-layer iFCL metering sensor. It also records 1080p HD video.
