Along with its announcement of its new iOS 6 mobile operating system earlier this month, Apple also upgraded its trail-blazing super-skinny/super-light laptop PC, the MacBook Air. Here's the skinny on the latest Windows-based super-skinny/super-light Ultrabooks laptop PCs.
While not as skinny or light as the Acer Aspire 5, this first Ultrabook from Sony (.71 inches thin, 3.54 pounds) and lacking a Thunderbolt jack, Sony's T Series Ultrabook has a similar 13.3-inch LED display, also runs on an Intel Core i7 engine and includes a 256 GB solid state drive in its minimum configuration. But most importantly, the T-Series starts at nearly half the price of the Aspire 5 - you can get the basic configuration at $770. The T Series comes loaded with Windows 7, but you'll be able to upgrade to Windows 8 whenever it becomes available for $15.
