Kobo E-Readers: Better Than Kindle, Nook?

Kobo Arc e-reader tablet

Unlike the Kindle Fire HD, Nook's 7-inch Arc tablet can run all of the Android apps found in the Google Play store. Technically, it has 1280 x 800 pixel –lower resolution than the 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDs, although you'll hardly notice the difference unless you love really tiny type or press your nose against the display as you watch a movie – a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, a front 1.3 MP camera for video chatting but no rear camera, a noise canceling mic, stereo speakers that are oddly mounted on the long side rather than the horizontal, and are Wi-Fi-only.
