Move MobileMe Website, iDisk and Photo Gallery

When iCloud was introduced, we were warned that MobileMe would shut down on June 30, 2012. You must download files saved on your iDisk. You won't have access to online Photo Gallery(s). And if you took advantage of the free MobileMe web hosting, you will need to move your website to another web host. Here is a step-by-step on how to download MobileMe files and move your MobileMe website so you don't lose information.

How to Download iDisk Files

If you have saved, shared, or backed up files to iDisk, you must download them to your computer before MobileMe ends on June 30, 2012.

If you have a fast Internet connection, and don't have too many files on iDisk, you can drag and drop your files.

In "Finder" app:

Click on the "Go" menu.

Highlight iDisk, then "My iDisk."

A finder window will open showing the contents of your iDisk.
Choose all of your files and drag and drop them to a folder on your computer in the left column.
If you have many files, it will go more smoothly to drag only a few folders or files at a time.
