Hands On: Spyglass Navigation App for iPhone

For a $2 application, Spyglass has a wealth of features--so many features, in fact, that you might feel a bit lost with it (pardon the pun).  But even the basic features are enough to compensate for the worst sense of direction.

Getting started with Spyglass

There are a lot of navigation applications for the iPhone, but most of them are aimed at sticking to the pavement.  Spyglass, an app for the iPhone by Happymagenta, a software development shop in Minsk, can handle simple pedestrian tasks too—like finding where you parked after a day of walking around the city.  But it's got enough off-the-beaten-path navigation features to make your inner boy scout want to take a hike.

The problem is, there are so many features that you might get a little lost trying to figure them out.  Documentation is not Spyglass's strong point. But what do you want for $1.99?
