To more happily paraphrase Morrissey, you are the first of the gang to turn 65. To honor (or forget) this milestone/millstone birthday, treat yourself to a toy. We've compiled eight self-gifting suggestions, each costing less than a symbolic $65.
Naftali Easy2Pick Wireless Luggage Finder System ($36.90)
These are two separate high-tech luggage tags that ought to be combined into one product. The Easy2Pick ($25) and the L.E.D. It Be Easy2Pick ($12) answer the angry airport baggage carousel inquiry: "Where the #%&* is my luggage?!" A red LED on the keychain fob for the Easy2Pick (on the left in the photo) starts to blink when your checked bag is within 100 feet – on the carousel…someplace. Additionally, the L.E.D. It Be Easy2Pick is a flashing luggage tag to help identify your bag once it's taking its circular carousel ride. You set it to flash in particular colors and/or sequences (I guess in case everyone starts using one) when you check it before your flight. It then goes to sleep until it senses it's on the carousel, then it starts to flash. You'll easily identify your bag, but you might get quizzical stares from other folks when you're the one with the silly flashing luggage tag. Both have other uses: ring the Easy2Pick tag on your keys chain so you can locate them, and the flashing L.E.D. It Be can light you up when you're night bike riding or running.
