Smart Connected TV Features: Sony Bravia EX640

Increasingly TVs are being offered with "Smart" connected TV features that can stream more than Netflix. The Sony Bravia EX640 offers a variety of features you may want in a Smart TV. Easy to use, the 40-inch sub-$900 model reliably streams media from both online services and your saved media libraries.

Smart Connected TVs Stream from Media Libraries

Media that you have downloaded and saved to your computers, NAS drives, or media servers should be easy to find and play at the touch of a button. Sony is part of the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). Like other Sony Bravia connected devices, Sony's EX640 reliably plays movies, music and photos from sources on your home network. If you use iTunes for your music and movies, check with the Smart TV's specifications. Like the EX640, many TVs cannot play the iTunes formats.
