Best New CES Gadgets: Part 1

Greetings from Las Vegas and the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show! CES doesn't begin until Tuesday, but there are a series of press-only events leading up the show floor opening. In the next five days, around 20,000 new toys will be exhibited. I'll try and bring you the coolest and/or most useful.

Kivic One

Did you ever want to play the music or a movie stored on your smart phone on your car music/video system? With this box-of-playing-cards box, you can. Kivic One ($200, March) creates a dedicated Wi-Fi connection with your iPhone or Android phone. You then connect Kivic to your car A/V system with an included A/V cable. Now you can transmit photos, video from your phone to your car A/V system. That ought to keep the kids quiet for a while.
