This clip-on case ($100, August) plus app turns any iPhone into a universal remote control. The case has a slide piece with an infrared tip so it'll fit any older, perhaps unused iPhone to use as a dedicated remote instead of your current constantly used iPhone, and when you clip it on, the app automatically downloads to your iPhone. Codes for every audio/video component are built into the app – you just tell it what gear you own. Since it's an iPhone, each update of the app will contain codes of the newest gear. Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on one.
