iHome are the guys who pioneered the iPhone clock radio, and here's their coolest model ($100). See the button on the top left of the control array? Press it and the iPhone mechanically rotates into a vertical position. Press it again, and it goes horizontal. I'm not sure of the practical alarm clock advantages (iHome says you use it to watch videos, but lying on my side the picture is at the wrong angle), but that's okay – it's still really cool.
