It's getting easier and easier to track our health, fitness and exercise with a widening inventory of gizmos and gadgets worn on (almost) all parts of our bodies. Last week, my compatriot Barb Gonzalez brought you a bunch of these health and fitness devices from CES. Here are some I ran across.
Your smartphone is not only your go-to device for music playback and navigation, now car makers are enabling your iPhone or Android device to be the brains behind these and other apps in your car. Here's another bunch of cars and car apps, gizmos and gadgets I found from Ford, Hyundai, Kia and Lexus at CES. (See Part 1 here.)
More and more auto makers are building sophisticated infotainment tech into their cars, especially systems that let you access both content and apps from your smartphone. At CES, I spied and tried many car gizmos and gadgets installed in models from Audi, Chevy, Chrysler, Ford, Hyundai, Kia and Toyota. (See Part 2 here.)
There is absotively posilutley no reason why you should end up with a dead smartphone or tablet. Never leave home without one of the many pocketable power packs available for around $100 or less, which provide plenty of extra juice for your portable gizmos and gadgets. Here are the best ones from CES.
Our final group of top 50 CES gizmos and gadgets includes lots of unique ideas and concepts such as a Star Trek scanner made real and one old gadget that gives us an idea of how far we've come tech-wise in less than 20 years.
Cables are so last century. In the not-to-distant future – this year – a lot of gadgets won't require any physical connection for usage or charging. Here's our fourth group of 10 of our 50 Top CES gizmos and gadgets. You can see/read Part 1 here, Part 2 here and Part 3 here.
Here in our second group of 10 (out of 50) of our favorite CES gizmos and gadgets, which include a cool Bluetooth speaker for tablets and laptops, a cheap and easy way to keep your earbud cords untangled, a Google TV-equipped media streamer and an iPhone case for former BlackBerry owners. (See the first 10 here.)
More than 20,000 new products were born at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show, not all ready for prime time. I've chosen 50 (other than portable power, auto, 4K UHD TVs or health/fitness gadgets, which I'll cover separately) to tell you about. In no particular order, here are the first 10.
There is a record 1.9 million square feet of CES exhibit space this year, blanketing the Las Vegas Convention Center and several nearby hotels – and I've walked most of it. Here's a glimpse of some of the action around this enormous event. We'll get back to the fascinating new gizmos and gadgets I discovered here next week.
CES is gi-normous — 13 miles of aisles and 20,000 new products. Wandering the show floor can be exhilarating and exhausting. I am going to try to bring you info on as many interesting (to me) gadgets and gizmos as I can. Today's bunch include a lot of health tracking devices — for you and even your plants.
